Arroz con Pavo

I've made this dish with the turkey left over from the roasted citric recipe. It is so easy, so easy you can make this basically blind-folded.


2 cups of left over pulled turkey meat

2 cups of white rice

1/2 cup of carrots (peeled & chopped)

1/2 cups of celery (chopped)

1/2 cup of frozen peas

1 yellow onion (chopped)

1 red pepper (chopped)

1 teaspoon of turmeric

1 teaspoon of Spanish red paprika in powdered

1 chicken bouillon cube

1/2 cup of cilantro chopped

2 cloves of garlic (mashed)

Olive Oil


1. Sauté onion, garlic, pepper and carrots, celery for 7 minutes until soft.

2. Add rice and cook for 5 minutes, add the bouillon, turmeric and Spanish red paprika and stir.

3. Add 3 1/2 cups of water and bring it to boil, once it starts boiling, add the turkey meat, the frozen peas and cilantro, cook on medium heat until rice is completely dry.


1. In Latin America we usually fry some plantains and make some simple salad.
