Pan Tostado

I used to help my grandmother write letters to her family in Cuba. She would dictate the content, and I would write it for her while making some "pan tostado" (grilled sandwich). I couldn't write fast enough to have the treats.
Pickles were always served on the side, never in the bread.
This recipe yields 4 sandwiches.
Ingredients:
4 bread (she always used soft hotdog buns)
4 tablespoons of butter
200 gr. turkey or chicken slices
200 gr. white cheese
Pickles
Directions:
Preheat a griddle and keep the heat on low.
Make the sandwiches by spreading butter on all sides. Add cheese and turkey.
Grill the sandwiches for 3 minutes on each side. The griddle should not be too hot; it is a slow grilling process, allowing the bread to form a crust without burning.
Enjoy!
