Arekibbie (Arepa & Kibbie Mergion)

As I've told before, I come from a multicultural background. My family is from a little village in Lebanon.

I'm also half Venezuelan and quarter Cuban, living in The Netherlands. So I tend to mix my food and languages very naturally.

Ingredients:

1 cup of corn flour

1 1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon of sumac

200 gr. canned tuna in water

1 tablespoon zaatar

oil for frying

salt & pepper

Directions:

1. In a bowl mix: flour, sumac and water until it forms a dough. Make 10 little balls. Set aside.

2. In another bowl mix: tuna, zaatar and salt and pepper.

3. Make openings in the balls of dough and filled tuna mixtures.

4. Fry until golden brown and serve warm.

Tips:

1. More kibbie ideas coming soon.

Enjoy!
